50 cc Moped

50 cc is the fastest moped available. Anything with more power than that is classified as a motorcycle. A moped doesn’t require a special license to operate and there are less expenses associated with the licensing fees of the vehicle than with a motorcycle. Those individuals who don’t want to deal with a motorcycle operating license often opt for a 50 cc moped instead.

Many women enjoy being able to operate a 50 cc moped because they are much lighter for them to control. They also don’t go as fast and the majority of women are fine with that. They are looking for something economical that allows them to enjoy the outdoors more rather than looking for something that that can go extremely fast.

Large college campuses can be difficult to get around on foot and finding parking is also an issue. A great alternative is using a 50 cc moped to get around. You can even secure it at the bicycle racks that are available instead of having to hunt for a parking spot.

People who live in areas where it is cold for about half of the year invest in a 50 cc moped instead of a motorcycle because they are more affordable. They don’t want a monthly motorcycle payment to take care of when the bike will likely have to be stored for half of the month anyway. Those who are concerned with the environment like the fact that a 50 cc moped releases fewer emissions than a motorcycle.

There is very little maintenance that has to be done with a 50 cc moped. The majority of them feature a 2-stroke cycle engine with a 2-stroke oil injection system. A few of them feature water cooling systems such as the Honda and Yamaha models. One of the most popular 50 cc mopeds on the market right now is the Boss Viper.

It features a 4-stroke cycle engine that is much quieter than an 2-stroke cycle engine offered. They are great for the environment as well because the oil and gas aren’t mixed together. It also features electric turn signals and a large storage area underneath the seat. If you are looking for a fun and economical way to get around, take a look at the various 50 cc mopeds available.
